Dear Furball Parents,

I am writing to you with a heavy heart to share some difficult news. After much consideration, we’ve made the painful decision to close Furball Fitness Oakland permanently. Our doors will close on February 28, 2025, marking the end of a wonderful chapter in our lives.

For the past eight years, we’ve had the absolute privilege of caring for your dogs, and it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences. From the first wagging tail to the last friendly bark, we’ve been fortunate to witness the joy and growth of each dog that has come through our doors. It has been an honor to build relationships, not just with your pets but with you as well.

This decision hasn’t come easily. The economic challenges of these past years have made it increasingly difficult for us to maintain the daycare. Additionally, the original owner of our building passed away recently. The estate was sold, and the new owner has informed us that he would be taking over half, if not all, of our space at the end of our lease. Unfortunately, the combination of these two factors have led us to this tough conclusion. Please know that this decision doesn’t reflect the incredible joy we’ve had serving you and your beloved pets.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to you for trusting us with your dogs. You’ve been a part of our family, and we will always treasure the memories we've created together. It has been a privilege to witness the bonds that have formed and to be a part of their lives. We will miss each dog’s unique personality and the smiles they brought into our lives every day.

Thank you again for your support, your loyalty, and for letting us be a part of your dog's life. We will miss you all dearly.
