TRAINING

Instructor Patricia Murino has been caring for and walking dogs in the Bay Area since 2007. Leaning on the animal behavior theories of Positive Reinforcement, Patricia creates a fun and educative environment that provides owners with the tools they need to maintain consistency at home.

When evaluating behavioral issues, all aspects of a dog’s life are considered, such as: household environment, dog's age, exercise, breed traits, and owner lifestyle. Each training plan is designed for each dog’s unique set of needs.

Patricia understands that dog training requires compassion, consistency, and patience. She is passionate about the well-being of dogs and ensuring that both dogs and humans have a good training experience. You will learn:

• Fundamental skills training, such as recall, sit, stay, and more.

• Behavior modification, such as resource guarding and other behaviors.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

PRIVATE IN-HOME TRAINING FOR YOU & YOUR DOG

Safe, effective solutions during COVID-19. In-person private training sessions follow protocols that are in line with local, State, and Federal recommendations:

• Initial consultations are completed in person and outdoors.

• Private training sessions occur outdoors only.

• Adhering to social distancing guidelines when working with you and your dog.

• Face masks worn by all attendees.

• All equipment is sanitized before and directly following private lessons.

THE PROCESS:

First, an initial consultation is arranged to gain a full understanding of your dog’s behavioral issues and your training goals. Then, a training plan is set to help you achieve those goals.

INITIAL BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION:

Fee: $75

A consultation may last up to one hour.

STANDARD TRAINING PACKAGES:

Single sessions: $50 each

• A one-hour session with you and your dog to review a skill and/or discuss behavior issues.

• Good for situations where you just need a little help or fine-tuning.

Package 4 sessions: $200

• Weekly one-hour sessions for 4 weeks with you and your pup.

• This package is designed for you to expand on fundamental cues already learned, such as recall, polite leash walking, etc.

• This package requires you to take all the tools from the training sessions and practice, practice, practice.

Package 6 sessions: $300

• Weekly one-hour sessions for 6 weeks with you and your pup.

• This package is designed for you to learn and expand on fundamental cues and some other helpful training cues, such as spot, spin, chill, etc.

• As with all training packages, this also requires you to practice, practice, practice!

THINKING ABOUT GETTING A PUPPY?

• Plan ahead! Puppy training can begin at 8 weeks of age.

• Puppy socialization must happen before 16 weeks of age, as that's when the socialization window closes.

PUPPY SOCIALS

Puppy socials are fun gatherings for puppies to play while their parents learn!

Each class focuses on a different aspect of puppy development, socialization, and training that will help puppies build confidence through socialization while giving owners exposure to the different aspects of puppy development.

Classes are limited to six puppies to ensure safety and a focused environment, with safe social distancing practices for parents. Includes time for Q&A.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Small breeds under 16 weeks and large breeds under 12 weeks are welcome.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS:

Dogs should stay up-to-date on their Distemper and Parvo vaccines.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:

Proof of current vaccinations

$30 per puppy/per class

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds will be given (minus nonrefundable Eventbrite service fee) for cancellations made up to 1 day prior to registered class.
